Aerial Treatment for August 23rd and 24th, 2012

WHAT: Aerial spraying to control mosquitoes infected with West Nile Virus over areas of Yolo County. On Thursday 8/23 spraying began at 8:10pm and ended at 9:14pm. On Friday 8/24, spraying began at 8:12pm and ended at 9:15pm.

WHY: To quickly reduce the number of adult mosquitoes infected with West Nile Virus which can become a threat to public health. This treatment was a direct response to elevated West Nile Virus Activity and in accordance with the District's Mosquito and Mosquito-borne Disease Management Plan .
