As part of Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District's Mosquito and Mosquito-borne Disease Management Plan the District may implement ultra low volume (ULV) treatments by ground unit or by air in areas where mosquito-borne arbovirus such as West Nile virus, St. Encephalitis or Western Equine Encephalomyelitis have been detected in adult mosquito collections, wild birds, sentinel chickens, horses or humans, or when adult mosquito trap counts have exceeded established thresholds.

Subscribe to our mailing lists and you will receive an e-mail notification for adult mosquito treatments for your zip code. This is a response to high mosquito populations or virus activity in your area.

The Sacramento-Yolo Mosquito and Vector Control District (SYMVCD) will make every attempt to notify individuals who sign-up for the Districts notification list via e-mail. However, the District may not be able to notify the public if immediate applications are needed to protect public health and welfare from diseases such as West Nile virus, Western Equine Encephalomyelitis, St. Louis Encephalitis or malaria. The SYMVCD may also cancel a scheduled operation due to weather and/or other reasons. Please visit our local adulticiding page and/or call the District Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for status of scheduled operations.

After sending this message the user will receive an email requesting confirmation of the unsubscription. After a response to the request is received, the user will receive a report regarding his/her unsubscription.
